I have been putting off expanding a short story into a complete story and full-length drama. It’s been a long time. The story is 4477. It’s about a woman who wants to live her life without regrets. I have a general outline with two major missing parts; her life before living in Chicago and her next destination. I have been putting off finishing the story because I was having a difficult time imagining a futuristic city. I drew a blank every time I tried to think about what truly makes a city futuristic. My desire to expand the story has pushed my lack of foresight aside and I believe I will be able to present an animation of part one by January 2024.
