I am ready for the coldest winter with the hat and scarf set I made with my peg loom. I think it looks better with the purple coat I finished earlier this year, than the first hat and scarf I made.

The hat required about 2 skeins and I used 5 skeins for the scarf. I wanted the scarf to look plush and I think it turned out well. However, if I were to make it again I would make it a little less wide, using 14 or 15 pegs instead of 18. Even though it is 11 1/4 inches wide, it looks like a shawl when it isn’t folded (see picture to left). I would also make it longer. It measures 72 inches, but I would add maybe 10 inches or so.

The yarn is 100% acrylic, Lion Brand, Tweed Stripes, Prism.
